my name is noby and i am student of multimedia university ,this blog is about my city TEHRAN and you can see the photos and information about Tehran in this blog.

Tehran is capital of Iran and also it is biggest and crowded city in Iran,Tehran is situated in the north-central part of Iran, on the slope of the Alborz Mountain. As the national capital it is the most populated city in Iran and the center of cultural, economical, political and social activities. It is about 1200 meters above sea level and enjoys a mild climate. Although the word Tehran can be found even in some books dating back to the 10th century. The crowd of Tehran is 7,705,036 persons and the extent of Tehran is 730 square km.

Azadi (Freedom) tower is symbol of Tehran.Milad tower is symbol of Tehran too.


Azadi tower was built in year 1971 A.D




Milad tower is the highest tower in Iran and it is 435 meter height ,13,000 meter extent .You can see Milad tower from all the area in Tehran.

Climate of Tehran

Iran is one of the only countries in the word which has the complete four seasons. And this is the thing that make Iran more interesting, each season is three mounth long.

first season is spring. In this season the planet growing and in this time all the planets become live. the start of

spring (March) is Iranian new year (Norooz).

The second season is summer. It is the most hot season in the year , summer is the season that all the children like it because in summer schools are close. It begins in mid of June.

The third one is autumn . First day of autumn is the day for opening school after summer holiday.In this this time the weather is almost cold and the leafs of trees become yellow and orange.It begins in mid of September.

The last season of year is winter. In winter Tehran cover with snow and the city become white.In north of Tehran there are a lots of ski resort such as Shemshak, Dizine, Tochal. The cold season usually begins in December.

History of Tehran

Tehran became capital in year 1785 A.D by Agha Mohammad Khan Qajar(king of Qajar monarchy) because of it's enjoying special importance from the geographical,political and economical points of view. That is why most of the historical buildings of Tehran are of the Qajar period.

Tourist Attractions

Tehran has a lot of tourist attractions like Golestan palace,Saad Abad palace,Nyavaran palace,Shams Emareh,Toghrol tower,Iran Bastan museum(Ancient Iran museum),Carpet museum,Sar dare baghe melli(The door of national garden), Tehran bazaar, Milad tower,Azadi tower.

Golestan Palace

The Arg was built during the reign of Tahmasb I (r. 1524-1576) of the Safavid dynasty (1502-1736), and was later renovated by Karim Khan Zand (r. 1750-1779). Agha Mohamd Khan Qajar (1742-1797) chose Tehran as his capital. The Arg became the site of the Qajar (1794-1925).Court and Golestan Palace became the official residence of the royal family.
